Stillness.
Then speed.
JDM Jet Team flies the only Harrier in the Jet World Championship. It is the one jet on the grid that can stop in mid-air, and we plan to make that the last thing a rival wants to see on a Sunday.
What we are
A Japanese team with a French finish. The red sun on the fin comes from Tokyo, and the line through it was drawn in our studio at Le Bourget.
JDM Jet Team is one of ten founding entries in the Jet World Championship, the first civilian fighter-jet championship. Two Competition Units, each a Harrier with a pilot in the air and a gamer on the ground, score against the other nine teams inside a marked corridor above a race circuit. The pilot flies. The gamer shoots. Every confirmed hit is a point for us, and every hit we take is a point against.
We come from two places. Tokyo car culture gave the team its name, and our European base sits at Le Bourget, where French aviation has always cared about a clean line. We will not be the loudest team in the paddock. We plan to be the most precise.
The only Harrier entry on the founding grid. Every point we score goes to the Harrier in the Airframe Award, and to nobody else.
Two Harriers in competition, one registered replacement, two pilots, two gamers, one strategist, and a crew of four on the line.
Suzuka, Round 12 of Season 2029. Our home round. Paris on 7 July is the other one.

Why a jet that can stop
Dogfighting is a game of turning circles and energy. Most of the grid will fight it the usual way: pull harder, turn tighter, hold the tail. The Harrier can rotate its four exhaust nozzles while it is flying forward and shed speed faster than any swept wing can follow. A pursuer who commits to the turn finds nothing in front of him, and then finds us behind him.
You cannot pull it off twice in the same sortie. Done at the right moment, once is enough.
How the Harrier fightsJournal
Fly with us
The title partner goes on the nose, on the gamers' chests and into the team name. Only one brand can have it.
Atelier
A flight jacket cut in Tokyo, a silk scarf printed in Lyon, and a cap you will actually wear. Everything is made in small, numbered runs.
Be first to know
Two pilots and two gamers will be unveiled soon. Leave your email and you will hear it from us first.
Season 2029 opens in Doha on 24 February
