The story

The name is a joke we take seriously. JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market: the cars built for Japan that the rest of the world spent twenty years trying to import.

The founders grew up in that world, in tuning garages and on mountain roads, where people did the work quietly and let the car do the talking. When the Jet World Championship opened ten founding seats, we never debated whether to enter. We only asked what kind of team to be, and the answer was obvious: build it like a Japanese-market special. Build it properly, keep it understated, and do not worry about pleasing everyone.

The other half of the team is Parisian. French aviation has always had a sense of style, from the early airmail pilots to the air shows at Le Bourget, and a belief that a wing can be beautiful as well as fast. Our European base is at Le Bourget, and that is where we design everything people see: the logo, the jackets and the hospitality.

No other team on the grid has that mix. And no other team has a jet that can stay put in the air while everyone else has to keep moving.

Three principles

Seijaku

Stillness. It is what the Harrier does best, and it is how we like to behave. We keep the radio calm, we pick our fights, and our livery does not need explaining.

Shokunin

Craft. Our mechanics look after two jets with the patience of watchmakers. The Chief Mechanic signs the maintenance log every day, and the Team Principal reads every entry.

Élégance

Anything that carries our logo should still look right in twenty years. We hold a jacket to that standard, and a hospitality suite, and the jet itself.

Line-up

Two pilots. Two gamers. To be unveiled soon.

The league announces every team's line-up together, so we are keeping the names to ourselves until then.
